Raw, unbleached cotton

Most of the cotton products produced today are bleached and treated with extra chemicals to remove visible impurities. Some of these chemicals include castic sode, hydrogen peroxide, sodium silicate and sulfites. Of course this is absolutely necessary when working with cotton that will be produced into a T shirt for instance. However we love sourcing fabrics that have undergone little treatment, especially for a lightweight coverage garment. We also love that raw look!

Our women's Lennox & children's Apron dress is produced from a raw, unbleached and untreated cotton. Therefore the yarn will include some impurities, such as remnants of the cotton seed hull. These natural fibres will remain in the cotton and can be seen on your garment.

These will loosen and eventually wash and wear out of your garment. Thank you for shopping sustainable x
