What does an average Monday look like?
Mondays are one of my focused days. I split my time between working from home for two days and being in the office for three days. This flexibility is key for managing high-level responsibilities while remaining present for my family. Mondays involve trade performance reviews, strategy planning and aligning our weekly/monthly metrics with the budget. One of the best aspects of my Mondays is picking up my kids from kindy in the afternoon, instead of time lost commuting back from our HQ in Byron. This alignment makes Mondays not just productive but something I genuinely look forward to each week.
Biggest mum/life hack?
Packing lunches the night before and using Woolies online delivery – it’s efficient, saves mental energy and helps streamline the day. Another thing I’ve learned is that the bedtime routine works better when I embrace the process and surrender to the chaos. After struggling with the bedtime battle for far too long with my first, I’ve learnt to let go. Now we’re all much happier and they’re generally asleep within 15 minutes!
How do you divide the mental load of family life in your house?
Communication is everything. Byron and I regularly adapt based on our workloads and the kids needs. A few months ago, he took over kindy drop offs and pick ups, except on Mondays. This has given me more mental space and capacity to manage everything. We also prioritise individual time to recharge – which helps us both operate at our best and be our best selves for each other and our kids.
You have two hours to yourself, what do you do?
Lately, I’ve been using my spare time to reconnect with friends—either over dinner or a pilates class. After navigating life with two under two while working full time, maintaining those relationships has been incredibly important and nurturing for the soul.
What's your go to outfit?
I’m a fan of an oversized tee and denim, though I’ve been opting for a more effortless summer dress recently—something simple yet polished.
